A bridal, evening wear and costume designer, Tamara was educated in fashion design at Kent State University. She now teaches fashion design and illustration.

 

Working at Vera Wang Luxe, a love of working with lace and lush fabrics grew. There, she found herself immersed in patterning, draping and sewing beautiful gowns. On her first day, she remembers walking in a grey factory hall and opening large beautiful doors and seeing what she described as the land of OZ and she was Dorothy! It was a dream come true.  She wore many hats in that land of Oz and learned different parts of the bridal and special occasion industry.

Experience was also gained in working bridal shops and owning her own custom bridal business. From fit to alterations, customer service to sales, amazing opportunities arose.  Especially when brides requested illustrations of their gowns. Her experience in costume design spans the everyday client to theaters, ballet, opera and even mascots.

She can also be found bringing the joy of art to others in YMCAs, Community centers and sip and paints.  

​

 Always having a love for art and illustration, Tamara was more than happy to create lovely illustrations for the brides.  Putting pen to paper and creating drawings that made people smile was magical!
